Position Description:
A Forklift Operator is responsible for operating industrial trucks and equipment to move, locate, stack, load, and unload materials within a warehouse, distribution center, or production facility. The position requires attention to safety, accuracy, and efficiency while handling inventory and maintaining an organized work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Move materials throughout the warehouse or production area.
- Stack and organize pallets in designated storage locations.
- Perform inventory counts and assist with stock management.
- Inspect forklifts before and after use to ensure proper operation.
- Follow all OSHA and company safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with shipping, receiving, and order preparation.
- Report damaged products, equipment issues, or safety concerns to management.
- Use RF scanners or warehouse management systems when required.
- Support general warehouse duties as needed.
Requirements:
- Previous forklift operating experience preferred.
- Valid forklift certification preferred or ability to become certified.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and safety procedures.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic communication and teamwork skills.
