We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Trucking Traffic Coordinator to manage and oversee the movement of inbound and outbound freight. This role is responsible for coordinating truck schedules, communicating with drivers and carriers, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining accurate transportation records. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment and can effectively multitask while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Schedule and coordinate inbound and outbound truck shipments.
  • Communicate daily with drivers, carriers, dispatchers, and warehouse staff.
  • Track and monitor shipment status to ensure on-time pickup and delivery.
  • Assign dock doors and manage loading/unloading schedules.
  • Prepare and process shipping documentation, bills of lading, and related paperwork.
  • Update transportation management systems (TMS) and maintain accurate shipment records.
  • Resolve delays, shipping issues, or routing conflicts in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure freight is ready for dispatch or receiving.
  • Monitor truck arrival and departure times to maintain efficient flow of traffic.
  • Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company safety policies.
  • Work closely with customer service and logistics teams to meet delivery requirements.
  • Report transportation performance metrics and issues to management.
  • Assist in improving routing, scheduling, and overall transportation efficiency.

Requirements:
  • Previous experience in logistics, transportation, dispatch, or warehouse coordination preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with trucking operations and freight coordination.
  • Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) is a plus.
  • Basic computer skills (email, spreadsheets, data entry systems).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; logistics education a plus.
