Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Bilingual Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate is fluent in both English and Spanish, experienced with material handling equipment, and committed to maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient work environment. This role is critical in supporting our growing operations and ensuring smooth communication across our diverse team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate sit-down forklifts, stand-up reach trucks, and/or pallet jacks to move, locate, and stack products.
- Load and unload trucks, containers, and rail cars.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report any maintenance needs.
- Pick, pack, and stage orders accurately according to pick tickets.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through proper scanning and documentation.
- Assist with general warehouse duties including receiving, shipping, and housekeeping (5S standards).
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and drivers in both English and Spanish.
- Follow all OSHA, company, and safety policies and procedures.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bilingual: Fully fluent in English and Spanish (verbal and written) – required.
- Minimum 1–2 years of recent forklift experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Valid forklift certification (we can provide training/recertification if needed).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and work in various temperatures.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Basic computer skills (RF scanners, inventory systems).
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must be able to pass drug screen and background check.
